Trekz Aftershokz

When it comes to those business calls - I just hate talking when I can’t hear my voice properly. If I have in-ear or the isolation type - I usually end up uncovering one ear. Not with the Trekz. Your voice sounds normal and it’s like having a conversation with someone next to you.

They clip over your ear and sit just in front of the ear, with a wire looping behind the head. I tried both the Trekz Titanium ($100) & the Air ($150) - the Air is definitely worth it. It is noticeably lighter and more comfortable to wear.

They are Bluetooth and so no chord to get in the way. Battery power is good. I use them for 2-3hrs a day and charge them every 3-4 days. They are robust enough to be put in my laptop bag and not worry about loosing a rubber bud. Big enough so that I can find them easy, but small & light enough to take up no space.

Only real issue as a business traveler is I can't use them on a plane., that's when you need low profile, aux cable, Active Noise Cancellation.

I must have bought or used hundreds of headsets in my time. Cable or Bluetooth. In ear or over ear. Isolation or Active. Independent buds vs connected. What I have settled on - and absolutely love - are Trekz Aftershokz Air - Bone Conduction Headphones.  https://aftershokz.com/

I wear them when I’m working out, running or even cycling. I can use them for my favorite music and as a headset when I’m doing business calls. or sending voice messages on WeChat.

What makes them great is that because the work on the bone, and do not block the ear in anyway, I can still hear the world around me! Now - do not think these are amazing sound quality. The bass is very limited and when the volume goes up, you actually feel a funny buzzing that makes the ear tingle.

What I love is that I can walk, run or cycle and have music around me. However when a car or truck approaches - I can hear it. When someone says something to me - I can hear it. When the bird sings or the waves crash - I can hear it. This means I can have music without missing out on what’s around me.
